About Me~

Hi there!! My name is Zoey Garcia, I am the oldest sibling of two younger siblings ( one that is fourteen and the other which is ten years old ). As the oldest sibling I was in a predicament where I was borderline forced to mature more quickly and to be more responsible than kids around my age. I was naturally the “back up” mother to my siblings when my parents were busy working to put food on the table. When having to take this role at such a young age I had to make some sacrifices to make sure my siblings are safe and care free. These sacrifices might have been simple but trust me as a eight year old they were the most gut wrenching sacrifices I’ve had to make such as having to give my favorite plushie up just to make sure my baby sister didn’t start to cry, but once I started to get older I had to make more serious sacrifices. I’ve learned from my years of living with siblings that once you get older and more mature, doing simple acts of sacrificing and also having a nurturing attitude becomes second nature to you. It actually became my love language, to show people that I care I do acts of service, not only to siblings but to friends also. Recently I’ve realized that we take advantage of the Caregivers in our lives. We are so used to the sacrifices they do for us and the day to day acts of assistance it becomes a second nature to us as well as it does to them. I’ve noticed as a society we are customary to exploiting people that have this sense of nurturing personality and yes the idea of “mother or father’s day” is a thing but I believe that we shouldn’t just show appreciation one day out of the year we should show it yearly while also we should value other loved ones in our life that have a major impact in our lives.

That is actually the purpose for the blog you are about to read. This Blog/Interviews are supposed to raise awareness about the under appreciation towards Care Givers that are here for us and to illustrate the differences they make in our lives 💚
